What the alternatives are, and what we simply connect to.

Three questions that settle most of it.

What is the best business management software in South Africa?
There is no single answer, and any page that gives you one is selling. Accounting packages like Sage and Xero are the right choice where books are the requirement. Suites like Zoho One and ERPs like Odoo and SAP Business One trade breadth against implementation effort. The question that decides it is what is currently being typed twice.
How do I compare business software fairly?
Compare on the two things that do not change: what the product actually covers, and how it charges you. Feature lists converge within a year and tell you almost nothing. Per user, per employee, per organisation and fixed fee produce very different bills in year three at the same headcount.
Should I replace my accounting system?
Usually not. Most businesses that think they have an accounting problem have a join problem: the work happens in one place and the books in another, and somebody re-keys between them. Fixing the join is cheaper than a migration and it leaves the ledger your accountant knows in place.
